This ,despite the race usually ending up a procession,after the introduction of the chicanes in the 70's,

This is the Lola T333 CanAm car that brought titles to Patrick Tambay,Alan Jones and Jacky Ickx (pictured here) all driving for the Haas/Hall team.
Fascinating cars,converted from F5000,they were basically single seaters,with sportscar body works

all channels are showing World Cup rugby... &$**#@...
can't believe they call it a World Cup,a handfull of countrys that can play,
the rest just some make weights....&%£#@...what is the fun of winning 89-3 against Japan?

Nostalgia...when i was a kid in the 70's, and just started to get fascinated by F1,
i got a little Surtees TS7 toycar...
In the 90's,when i was busy building models for teams and drivers,i found it again in the modelshop at Brands Hatch.Later that day i met Big John,he liked my work and wanted me to build all the cars he ran....Wow!

we are back from our road trip through the south of England but i'm no-way ready to do my car-a-day,soo busy and our internet connection is terrible,posting this in our local library....
so for now a little drawing of the Mercedes Streamliner at Avus...just to keep things ticking over.
